Niagara’s City vs. City Pickleball Showdown

Four players. One city. Bragging rights on the line.

The Battle of Niagara is a team-based pickleball event bringing together players from across the Niagara Region for a high-energy afternoon of competition, community, and local pride.

What started as a fun regional challenge is quickly becoming one of our most exciting pickleball events — combining competitive play with the social atmosphere that makes the sport so addictive.

Whether you are playing, cheering from the sidelines, or following along online, this is more than a tournament. It is a celebration of Niagara’s growing pickleball community.

The Format

Each city is represented by a 12-player team:

2 Men

2 Women

Teams compete in a series of matches designed to test depth, chemistry, and consistency across the lineup.

Age and/or DUPR rating criteria are often used to ensure fair & competitive play but also allowing for surprises.

The 2025 series featured over 30 teams across different age and playing level battles. The 2026 kickoff event featured four Niagara cities battling for the first Battle of Niagara title of the season.

The Battle of Niagara uses a Rally Scoring Format. Read more about the Rally Scoring rules used here.
